
On 13 January 2026, twenty thousand people filled the Stade Michel d'Ornano for a sixth-tier club.
Bayeux entered the cup in the third round, away at AS Cérençaise. Seven wins later, the club faced Olympique de Marseille in front of twenty thousand people.
Bayeux played the first three rounds away from home, at AS Cérençaise, USM Blainville and FC Val de Risle. They then hosted Havre Caucriauville, a fifth-tier side, and won 1-0.
In the seventh round they beat Stade Malherbe Caen at Henry Jeanne, a side three divisions above them, 3-2. Yvetot AC went out 1-0 in the eighth round, then Blois 2-1 on 20 December 2025. Bayeux were in the last 16.
The draw paired them with Olympique de Marseille. The club moved the tie to Caen, to the Stade Michel d'Ornano. On 2 January, hundreds of members queued outside Henry Jeanne from first light to collect their ticket. All twenty thousand were gone within days.
On 13 January 2026, the supporters filled d'Ornano. The federation presented the Petit Poucet trophy — awarded to the lowest-ranked club left in the competition — to the club president before kick-off.

Before 2026, the club had already known a few fine cup nights.
